Information You Submit
Name, phone, and address values entered into a search box are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Clearfield Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search terms on its own servers. A message sent through an available contact route is seen only as needed to read and answer it.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring information, and timestamps. Those ordinary logs are used in aggregate to maintain the site and understand general page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement, depending on the hosting and advertising setup in use.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical information helps operate the pages, investigate errors, measure traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and this site does not build a profile of an individual reader from the records pages they view.
Links Controlled by Other Parties
Pages link to Davis County, Clearfield City, Utah Courts, Utah elections, OVRS, Archives, USPS, libraries, and other services. Their policies control information submitted on their domains. The sponsored search box is also supplied by a third party, which sets its own data practices.
Who May Process Technical Data
Hosting and support providers may process server logs in order to keep the website online. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information may be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it; it is not disclosed for unrelated purposes.
Security and Retention
The site is intended to run over an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for the operational reasons that require them and are not kept as a personal profile. There are no site accounts here, so this service does not maintain a password or user profile for you.
Children’s Information
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal information, use the Contact page so the material can be reviewed and deleted when appropriate.
Utah Data Rights and Public Records
Qualifying consumers may have access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, Utah Code Title 13, Chapter 61, subject to its scope and current operative provisions. Because this site keeps very little, a request will normally involve searching the contact mailbox and available server logs. Public records held by Clearfield City, Davis County, or Utah agencies are outside this site’s control. Removal or correction requests for those records belong with the custodian, and Utah GRAMA under Title 63G, Chapter 2 governs public-record access rather than this website’s privacy mailbox.
Policy Changes
When this policy changes, the revised text will be posted here. Continued use after an update means the updated policy applies to later use of the site.
