Search the Clearfield Residents Directory

Search the Clearfield residents directory by starting with the fact you already have: a name, an address, or an earlier year. Clearfield records sit across city offices, Davis County counters, Utah portals, and library or archive collections. A property result can identify an owner and parcel, while a voter result can suggest a current registration. Older city directories, newspapers, and census pages add household context. The Clearfield residents directory is therefore a path through several records, not one complete list, and each result needs to be read for its date, address type, and custodian.

Begin With the Clearfield Residents Directory Map

Clearfield is in Davis County, but Farmington is the county seat. That simple geography tells you where to look. Clearfield City Hall and the city police, code, court, planning, licensing, and cemetery offices hold municipal records. Davis County holds the main property, tax, election, marriage, and jail trails at 61 South Main Street in Farmington. Utah statewide systems fill the court, vital, professional-license, voter-data, archive, and corrections gaps. A name-only search is often weak; a name paired with a city, approximate year, street, spouse, or parcel is much easier to test.

Use the record that matches the question. The Davis County Property Search 2.0 map is the best address-first entry because it accepts owner, property address, parcel or serial number, and document entry number. Utah Voter Information accepts a first name, last name, date of birth, street address, city, and ZIP. Utah Courts XChange is a filed-name case index. A city directory or Davis County Clipper notice can place a household in an earlier year. These sources overlap, but none proves every part of a person’s life.

  1. Write down the name as known, including initials, suffixes, married or maiden forms, and an approximate date.
  2. Search the Davis County property map by address or owner and save the parcel ID and legal description.
  3. Test the person in Utah Voter Information only as a registration lead, noting that protected voters and sensitive fields are withheld.
  4. Use XChange, city records, a license or business filing, or a vital index to corroborate the identity.
  5. For an older household, move to the Clearfield 1967 directory, the Davis County Clipper archive, census pages, Archives indexes, and cemetery or probate records.

Where Clearfield Residents Directory Records Are Kept

The offices below are orientation points, not one master resident roll. The county Recorder and linked Property Search connect names to parcels, recorded instruments, legal descriptions, assessment context, and mailing addresses. The Davis County Clerk handles elections, voter registration administration, marriage-license routing, the records catalog, and GRAMA questions. Clearfield City’s own records include police reports, justice-court files, code complaints, planning material, business-license trails, and cemetery administration. Utah agencies hold the records that local offices do not.

Clearfield City Hall is at 55 South State Street, with customer service at 801-525-2700. The city Police Records Division uses 801-525-2800 and records@clearfieldcityut.gov. Clearfield City Justice Court can be reached at 801-525-2760 and jcclearfield@utcourts.gov. For state records, start at Utah Voter Information, Utah Courts XChange, or the Utah State Archives research portal. This spread of custodians is why the Clearfield residents directory works best as a guided sequence.

Search the Clearfield Residents Directory by Parcel

The county Property Search 2.0 map gives an address question a stable key. Enter an address or parcel ID, choose the suggested match, and let the map center on the parcel. Selecting the polygon can expose Parcel ID, Legal Description, ownership information, situs or property address, and a Tax Information link. Record the date you saw the result. County instructions say selecting the city can improve an address search, and the landing page warns that data may be 24 hours old, is not a legal document, and is not a title search.

Owner nameOwner-oriented search; test initials and name variants.
Property addressSitus or physical location used to place the parcel.
Parcel or serial numberThe strongest bridge between map, tax detail, and Recorder research.
Document entry numberA direct route to a recorded instrument when known.
Map selectionClick a polygon to open parcel detail and adjacent boundaries.

A tax mailing address is different from the situs address. It may be an owner’s other address, a business address, a post-office box, or an estate or agent address. Use it as a clue, never as automatic proof of residence. The county map is free to browse and county terminals are available during office hours. REDI-Web adds indexed abstracts and scanned images, but the research notes list a $25 monthly subscription and $1 digital document copies. In-person or mail copies use county charges, including $2 per page for ordinary copies.

See the Davis County Property Search map for the actual parcel workflow. A free map result followed by a saved parcel ID is often more useful than starting with a broad name search.

For the current map interface, open the Davis County Property Search application before selecting a parcel.

Use the Clearfield Residents Directory Voter Lookup Carefully

Utah Voter Information is a person-level form, not a downloadable Clearfield voter directory. Its fields are First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Street Address, City, and Zip, followed by SUBMIT. A match can show public voter information such as name, physical and mailing address, year of birth, party, and vote history. Full date of birth, phone, email, signature, Social Security number, driver-license number, and protected-voter details are withheld.

That distinction matters when two people share a name. Use the address and year of birth as checks, then compare the result with a property record or a dated historical source. At-risk voters can receive protected treatment. Utah’s address confidentiality program, Safe at Home, supplies a substitute address and mail-forwarding service; the actual residence and related location data remain protected. A missing voter result is not evidence that a person is absent from Clearfield.

The exact fields can be reviewed at the Utah Voter Information search.

The form narrows a person-level search, but it does not act as a ZIP-wide public roster.

Check the Clearfield Residents Directory in Utah Courts XChange

Utah Courts XChange searches public case metadata across District and Justice Court choices. Search by case number, last name or company, first name, case type, court scope, birth date when available, citation number, citation location, and date range. An asterisk can replace unknown letters in a name. Results can be narrowed to statewide, county, or a specific court, which helps separate a Clearfield City Justice Court matter from a Davis County or District Court case.

The result screen can show county, court location, case type, case number, filing date, party names, birth date when available, party code, and case history or document links. The help material says results can reach 500, and individual documents are listed at $1 each. A case index is not the file. For paper or certified copies, use the court’s record-request route. Clearfield City Justice Court lists Monday through Thursday 8 to 3 and Friday 8 to 2, with lunch from 12:30 to 1. Sealed, juvenile, adoption, expunged, and protected family records are not open simply because a name is known.

When the Clearfield Residents Directory Search Stops

Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act, or GRAMA, is the fallback for a public record that is not exposed in a named portal. A written request under Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2 should identify the requester, contact route, and a description specific enough for the custodian to find the record. The entity generally responds within 10 business days, or five business days when the request primarily benefits the public, subject to statutory exceptions and extraordinary circumstances. Fees are reasonable actual costs, with inspection generally free and staff-time or special-service exceptions.

Use the Davis County Clerk’s public-records routing page to distinguish marriage, property, divorce, voter, and other requests. Divorce files go to District Court, not the Clerk. Clearfield’s records-request PDF is the city route for city-held material. The Clearfield Library branch at 1 North Main Street has public computers, Wi-Fi, photocopying, interlibrary loan, a property-locator GIS service, and research help. The system’s listed microfilm reader is at the Farmington or main library location, while the Davis County Clipper archive is available through the digital library.

Records vocabulary. A roll is an organized list maintained by an agency. An index points to a record but may not include its image. A parcel is the county’s mapped property unit. A criss-cross directory reverses the usual name-first order and starts with a street address.

Clearfield’s Historical Residents Directory Trail

The verified local directory item is Clearfield City, Davis County, Utah directory - 1967, a 109-page catalog item in the FamilySearch directory ecosystem. The sample format places a surname first, then a given name or initial, occupation or installation abbreviation, spouse in parentheses, family notation in some entries, street address, and a local 825 telephone exchange. HAFB and USAF appear in the sample. Preserve those printed abbreviations until an official key explains them.

That directory is one layer. The Davis County Clipper digital archive covers weekly issues from 1892 through 1992 and can add obituaries, marriage notices, legal notices, school and civic events, and address clues. Davis marriage-license Series 6040 begins in 1887, with early reel segments that can carry residence, age, officiant, and witness information. Davis birth registers cover 1898 to 1905, the Utah death index covers 1905 to 1970, and federal census pages released through 1950 supply household relationships and ages. The 1890 census schedule is a permanent national loss.

For a deceased resident or heir question, connect an Archives or OVRS death record to a Clipper notice, Clearfield Memorial Park, probate, and an estate deed. The cemetery order route itself asks for lot owner, person to be buried, funeral director, date and time, and grave space. These records can point to the next custodian without turning a historical source into a current household list. The full historical collections workflow is on the Clearfield city directory page.

Clearfield Residents Directory Birth, Death, and Marriage Records

Utah Code §26B-8-125 makes vital-record timing central to a careful Clearfield search. Birth records become public after 100 years, death records after 50 years, and other vital records after 75 years, subject to the statute’s exceptions. Current certified copies generally require a qualifying relationship or a direct, tangible, and legitimate interest. The Davis County Health Department Clearfield window is at 22 South State Street and 801-525-5150, while Utah OVRS handles statewide ordering and proof requirements.

The current birth application lists a $22 first search or copy and $10 for each additional copy, with an optional $15 expedite and $5 amendment where applicable. The death application lists $30 for the first search or copy and $10 for each additional. Marriage and divorce request materials list $18 for the first search or certified copy and $10 for each additional. Verify forms and fees at the custodian before sending money. Historical indexes are useful leads, but a certified copy and an index entry are not the same thing.

Separate a Lookup Lead From Proof

A good Clearfield residents directory workflow labels each fact. “Owner on the county parcel card” is different from “registered voter at an address,” “party named in a court case,” “licensee in a city,” or “occupant in a 1967 directory.” Compare at least two independent record types when identity matters. Preserve the exact filed spelling, the record date, the source URL, and whether the address is situs, mailing, postal, or historical. If a source is missing, restricted, or stale, say so.

For personal, lawful research, use the records to reconnect with family, study a house history, understand a civic record, or verify a public filing. Do not use a name or address result to stalk, harass, intimidate, or harm anyone. A public field can still carry privacy limits, and Safe at Home or protected-voter rules may hide a resident for safety. The custodian, not a directory guide, decides whether a record is public, private, controlled, or protected.

Use Clearfield City Records by Address

When the county map points to a Clearfield parcel, city records can add the official activity attached to that place. Clearfield Police Records handles incident and report requests at 801-525-2800 and records@clearfieldcityut.gov, with a front-desk and phone or online request path. Code enforcement accepts a complaint address, owner or renter relationship, known name, category, and narrative. Planning and building records can include applications, zoning, permits, plans, and owner or applicant details, although no citywide public permit index was verified. Clearfield Memorial Park supplies a cemetery route with lot, interment, funeral, and grave-space fields.

These are separate records, not a current household list. Request the department, address, date range, and record type under the city process or Utah GRAMA. Sensitive police, code, planning, and cemetery details may be withheld or redacted.

Connect Clearfield Business and License Records

Utah Commerce and DOPL can add a public affiliation trail when a Clearfield name appears in a business filing or professional record. The entity search accepts a name and entity type. DOPL results can show Licensee Name, City, Profession, License Number, Status, and disciplinary information. A license city, registered agent, or commercial address is not proof of a home address, so preserve the filing role and date before comparing it with a county parcel.

Use the Utah DOPL portal or the Utah business-entity search for the official record. Search the entity category as well as the name, then keep the affiliation separate from residence.

The public license fields are shown through the Utah Department of Commerce DOPL lookup.

A license record can establish a credential or affiliation while leaving residence a separate question.

Clearfield ZIP Geography Needs a Crosscheck

ZIP labels are useful search clues, but they are not incorporated city lines. The Davis County crosswalk places Clearfield, Clinton, Sunset, and West Point under 84015. State health materials group 84015, 84016, and 84056 as a Clearfield Area, while 84056 is the Hill Air Force Base postal geography. Confirm the postal city with USPS and the physical parcel with county GIS before describing a result as a Clearfield resident record.

This distinction matters for the Clearfield residents directory because a mailing address can describe delivery service, tax correspondence, or a physical parcel, and those are not interchangeable. The ZIP coverage details belong on the Clearfield ZIP code directory page.
